Forestview 282, South Point 322, Ashbrook 330, Crest 342, North Gaston 348, Kings Mountain 360, Hunter Huss 388 — In a Big South golf match at Woodbridge Golf Club in Kings Mountain, Forestview’s Alex Taylor and Will Blalock shot a 70 on the day for medalist honors. Taylor had a double eagle (on a Par-5 No. 6 hole) and an eagle in his round. Will Long (71) and Harrison Frye (73) rounded out the Jaguar scorers. Ashbrook’s Cooper Johnson (79), Crest’s Isaac Powell (81), Hunter Huss’ Cody Jones (89), Kings Mountain’s Matt Shepard (87), North Gaston’s Tre Beatty (82) and South Point’s Nick Stafford (76) led their teams respectively. The next conference match is Tuesday at River Bend Golf Course in Shelby.

The Jaguars beat all competing teams by at least 17 strokes. Will Blalock was the match medalist, shooting a 69 on the day.
Ashbrook’s Cooper Johnson (76), Crest’s Ryan Brooks (80), Hunter Huss’ Cody Jones (88), Kings Mountain’s Trey Sellers (89) led their schools respectively. North Gaston duo Brennan Hawkins and Preston Dockery finished with an 84 and South Point players Nick Stafford and Nick Robinson ended their rounds with 72s.

South Point 160, Ashbrook 164, Highland Tech 182 — South Point’s Nick Robinson claimed medalist honors with a 37 during the non-conference match at Woodbridge. Charlie Stone, Nick Stafford and Matt Hodges each shot 41 for the Red Raiders. Ashbrook was led by Cooper Johnson (38) and James Black (39). Highland Tech’s Austin Graves (41) and Aaron Thomas (44) led the Rams. The first Big South 3A match is Monday at Green Meadows.
